Stiftergemeinschaft Museum Industriekultur in Nürnberg e. V.

The Museum for Industrial Culture is getting newer all around – from its up-to-date fire prevention system, to a more attractive lobby, a new seminar room, a moisture-proofed north wall, and even new parts of the permanent exhibition. The Museum is remodeling, and needs your support. Help advance the work of the Museum for Industrial Culture, with its mission of preserving and communicating Nuremberg's industrial cultural heritage: Become a member of the Museum's patrons' organization, the nonprofit Stiftergemeinschaft Museum Industriekultur in Nürnberg e.V.

Whether for developing modern participative exhibits and media stations, or acquiring new additions to the permanent exhibition, or inventorying collections, or backing educational campaigns – the Stiftergemeinschaft's funding makes a great many projects possible at the Museum.

To take just one example, every year the Stiftergemeinschaft provides a pool of free admission tickets for school classes – a program that has been especially valuable for children from low-income families, many of whom may be visiting a museum for the first time ever.

Founded in 1980, the Stiftergemeinschaft has supported the Museum for Industrial Culture ever since the earliest days, and has thus helped make aspects of economic, technological and social history a permanent part of the city's awareness. The organization's support has helped build an institution that has been a pioneer in Germany – and one that is now being modernized so it can keep on presenting Nuremberg's industrial history vividly and excitingly into the future.

The new Museum will likewise continue to display the history of Nuremberg companies and their businesses, and will still be an important forum to support the Metropolitan Region's economic and technological vigor. That's why participation from companies, members of the business community, and interested private individuals is always welcome.

Besides free admission to all Nuremberg Municipal Museums, as a patron you'll also be invited to exclusive events and intriguing behind-the-scenes visits to see what's going on as the Museum renovates. We look forward to welcoming you!
